Claybar works miracles! Just gently wash the area down your working on, then claybar away over the moist surface.

auto glym tar remover...follow instructions and cant go wrong...i used it and it worked spot on

parafin will do the job and is cheap. Claybar is probably not the best stuff to use if there's alot of tar.

yeah its tar :( i shit myself at 1st thinking it was black paint :(
but yeah its nice lovely fresh tar(as you can see in the pics it was that fresh that it even ran lol!)..... there were roadworks on a road i went down today :(

i have used tardis to remove a stupid amount of tar from my VT kit.
it worked well. took a lot of work though. i.e cloth + tardis + rubbing

bloody hell bit of bad luck to say the least there mate.
Just squirt loadsa that autoglym tar stuff on it and leave it overnight then come back and wipe off be alot easier too ;)
