Do these quotes sound alright?
1400 TPFT, 1800 Fully Comp.
I'm 17, no ncb (obviously), no I'm not fronting either, having my mam and step-dad, who's a police driver on as named drivers.
Cheers for the replies.

Sounds relatively cheap. I can get it slightly lower than that on a VTS at 19. That's with 1 claim.

It's on a private estate, garaged at night and home during the day. Has an immobiliser too.
Yeah, it's on my own, with the 2 named drivers as stated.

hmm stupid cheap lol most people get refused
PManghan
12th March 2009, 18:14
Yeah, most of the companies refuse, but about 10 will do it, most of them are over 4 grand, but 1 or two are under 2.5, this one is the best though :)

PManghan
12th March 2009, 18:16
Yeah I intend to do that, was just wondering if these were good quotes.
Thanks for the replies, I think I'm going to do Pass Plus too, if this company recognises it, might get FC for 1500, hopefully. :)

sounds crazy, very unrealistic
but id be buzzing if its true
be careful though mate, dont mean to sound harsh but imo its better to start of with a small engine, the reason most VTS's have been written off is because of the young guys driving them!
good luck though

I'm from Durham area, and I intend to give them another ring to take the quote out once I find a suitable car. I just hope it's not one of those internet things, where my insurance will be canceled in a few months lol.

Is that for a vts? Cus if that's the sort of prices to expect at 18 I might look to get a vts in a couple of months..

Yeah, I've entered a few different VTS's, ranging from a R-reg, to a 52 plate, all about the same price, few quid different.

i ride a 200mph bike :) i didnt think a 1.8 turbo was going to be much to handle, till i wrapped the fucker around a central reservation bollard!
1) thats seriously cheap man, i found it hard to get good insurance on a VTS even with my advanced license and bike trainer license with the police!
2) id be bloody carefull they are quicker than they seem once you start driving them imo.

he might be calling him an idiot for wasting 2700 on insurance at 17...
i seee no point in spending so much on insurance, im 18 atm, and when i passed my test, when i was 17, i spent 900 tpft on a 1.1... then get a bigger car, makes sense to me...
