Just went to B & Q thought i would do a bit of d.i.y got my paint bits and bobs and seen some nice dado rail so i purchased that as well placed it in my car shut the boot thinking plenty of room only to find i just f*cking cracked my windscreen f*ck f*ck f*ck. :wall:

is the saxo vts windscreen bonded? and how much will a second hand one set me back coz my insurance want £60 excess just trying to weigh up if its cheaper me getting a second hand one

id go with the £60 then you dont need to clean the glass for a week ;).

Phone a repair company, saxo screens are only about £110 quid save you going through insurance? No idea what a second hand one would cost though.

oh dear bud. well windscreens are pretty dear but i wouldnt involve the insurance.... Eff that!

Get in contact with a few local windscreen repair centres. had a look at one for mine Furio i got quoted about £140 which is a kick in the sweeds just wont affect ur policy in the long run :)

I couldn't help but have a little giggle at that mate. Sorry.:hug: That sucks big time though, a bloke in work bust a windscreen on one of our vans on tuesday. lol. :panic: He shit himself. He's just driving it around site with a shattered windscreen now though:wacko:

nah dont lose ur ncb it just you will find u have to pay abit extra.

It mite of been mate tbh. had a stone chip and they sed it wud be around 140.
Got it filled for 30 quid so cant complain. :) hope you get it sorted mate!

tight measures for tight times we are in a recession and that extra £1 is better in my pocket then there's i have two kids to cloth and feed and they need shoes:panic:

yeh having your windscreen replaced shouldnt affect you NCB so just got through them m8

i have my NCB protected to be honest

tbh it would prob cost you more to try and diy. plus you wont have such a good finish and it wont be a new screen,

well thats what your insurance is there for so why not use it if it means you get it done cheaper and it doesnt affect your NCB

Had my windscreen fix today went through the insurance payed the excess of £60
