JJB Sports Future

Right My first thread, Just sat here watching tv and heard about jjb sports on the news D-Day tomorow, We find out if were going to stay open or close. I work for them at the moment shop side and was just wondering if anyone else does and what they think the future of the company will be???

JJB have been in trouble for a while, i thought they went into administration months ago

Erm i think they did then they got into trouble and dave wheelen bought back into them, The cube ond OSC have already gone into administration, other companys they owned.

Well they owe 60 million ish i think and have got till tomorow to pay it back, dave wheelen is onabout buying the gyms for 70million which will wipe there debts plus some. If it happens though

They've got a fitness centre by the m&s i work in, had a tour and its amazing tbh, im definately signing up. maybe that will be the new angle for them.

I'd Like them to stay open but thier prices are over-rated by far, you can go sports direct and get the EXACT pair of trakies for atleast £10 cheaper.

and thats the problem there living in the clouds... they can see they have direct competitors selling the same brands and products for less yet havent competed in a prices... probably expecting to get by on their name...

Right, heres the deal. Dave Wheelen Has bought the gyms for 70 Million, With that he also gets my shop as it is above the gym He also owns other shops with the same set up gym downstairs shop upstairs. These shops will become DW Sports (Dave Wheelen Sports) As for the rest they will remain jjb sports. Not sure if the gym name will be changed or not but thats what we have been told so far today in work.
