my mum took me out but it was so bad, she was to nervous and kept grabbing the seat and reaching for the wheel even though i was doing nothing wrong, really put me off

my dad used to be paranoid and tell me to slow down all the time, my mum would just go to sleep and let me drive :)

My mum was really reluctant to let me drive, but my dad was all for it, in his eyes the best way was just to get outside and drive, let me practice (privatley) since an early age, and even up to my test I was practically driving his car all over the place (with him beside obviously). As soon as I passed he let me use his car (180bhp vRS) as if it was mine.

if your confident enough and know what your doing then i dont see a problem

unconfident drivers on the road piss me off so much

no confidence = bad driver - FACT

Once i booked my test my dad let me drive his car for the month leading upto it, i guess once they know your good to drive they might change there minds, if he does give in though watch out for picking up bad habbits.

I drove everywhere for over 2 months with my parents before having a single proper lesson. On my 1st lesson i was told to book my test (had already done theory), then had a proper lesson each week for the 10 week wait i had for my test. Passed 1st time.

If it wasnt for driving with my parents it could have taken me a lot longer to pass.
