go fishing all the time. my dad got me into to trout fishing when i was really young, then i got myself into coarse fishing about 8 years ago. went today as well and caught 2 commons (4lb 8 and 6lb 10) off hair rigged luncheon meat cubes, and a 9lb mirror off the top on a dog biscuit. although the close season started today these 2 lakes i go to are open till the end of april. i mainly fish for carp but enjoy different days for different fish, like tench, pike, big bags of silverfish etc..

think im going to france with my boss to work on his house out there in april, and he said theres loads of carp lakes around, so that might be the time when i can catch my dream of a 45 pounder! lol

thats a 17 pounder i caught just before xmas

where did you catch that? yeh ive seen someone catch around a 30pounder i think i was they look weird as fuck! a carp lake i go to a lot has got some in but they are rarely caught! ive caught 2 out of the river ebro in spain but i want to catch some in england

me and my mate use to go alot and just fish for anything we use to follow rivers for miles lol use to just walk in the river. i do lakes aswell have actually had a huge carp burn my reel out before and take most of my line i could see my float pop back upto the surface everytime it stopped lol.

I had a good year last year and had loads of carp off the top i started the season off with a nice 23lb which i caught off the top.I have been carp fishing for 6 years on and off.

They are private waters which are members only,there are 5 lakes which do stock a good head of carp,i mainly fish on wykle lake and on the yard which can be pretty hard at times.Where abouts do you fish in the uk?

well i live in norwich for most of the time and as its in norfolk there are loads of carp lakes
the ones i go to are mainly cobbleacre and borough castle as they stock mainly high 20s and low 30s but lately i havent been as ive not got much money to spend due to this shitty credit crunch :n:
thats why im really looking forward to going to france this year

My pb was 23lb 13oz when i was about 12.But gave up on carpin and went to cars.Thinking of starting up again.Used to night fish a 480 acre lake in uk my uncle owns.Has 40's in it.I reckon there will be some 50's soon :)

See this has been bumped up again. As the season's just getting into full swing again i made an order from fishtec for £260 so car may take a hault for a while lol.

Had a day off on monday as well and went down to my local lake, caught around 12 all day, biggest one being just shy of 14lb. Few off the top on crust and a the rest on float fished luncheon meat in the margins. Should be going friday again with one of my mates so hopefully get a few pics

Whats wrong with fishtec? They have always been spot on for me, lots of stuff at pretty cheap prices and v. quick delivery. Although the last batch of stuff they sent me, i got the wrong pound line, so they just send the right one out and you get to keep the other one lol.
