Mate, I would imagine you'd loose your ncb and your insurance price will go up next time you renew it. You'll loose your licence i'd imagine if its within the first two years. Sorry to hear this mate.

Yeah you need to inform them straight away
If you hesitate to let them know and dont let them know for a while, they have a right to cancel your insurance

Yeah and if you have an accident won't it make your insurance void?

Due care when i crashed last year....i have been so careful as well, i didnt think he would be a cock for me doing 8mph over the speed limit :@ so as soon as i tell them (wont be tomorrow as i havent got my licence back with the points yet) my policy will increase in price? thanks

Policy will change to a provisional, points will be put onto policy and then you'll bend over whilst they massively put the price up.
Dangerous Driving and SP30?

Probationary Periods
Road Traffic (New Drivers) Act 1995
If a driver first passes a driving test on or after 1/6/97 and accumulates 6 or more penalty points on his driving licence within the first 2 years of passing a driving test (either in the UK, Gibraltar or any EC State) as a result of offences committed before his test or within that 2 year period, his licence will be revoked by notice in writing and he will have to reapply for a provisional licence and retake a driving test if a full licence is wanted.
So effectively your licence is revoked and you must start again, declaring that you have lost your licence once already. Sorry.

And if the DVLA accidentaly send your license back with 8 points on it. phone them up and tell them they've fucked up and should have revoked it. It does happen and people then get done for driving without a license.

that must have been a tight arse copper, i got pulled over doing 37 in a 30 and he just told me to calm down, i used the old excuse of i thought it was a 40. lol. Saying that, did anyone watch that episode of traffic cops wen that 17 year old got caught doing 125 in a polo down the motorway ,he got 6 points but he never got banned, because his suspension was less than 30 days or something. i might of miss heard it but i swear thats all he got, didnt revoke his liscence or anything????
