Hey guys, im glad to be back with my new saxo :D

Wiring my sub and amp up just and i connected my remote wire to the ignition wire on my cd player. Just checked and the amp light is on when i have my ignition off - so this will drain the battery wont it. Have i connected remote to the wrong wire?

Many Thanks. Andy :y:

Im assuming i have put the remote wire from the amp incorrectly on a constant feed? Its a different set out to my previous car so i just guessed. I have four wires - Yellow - Blue - Grey (thick) Grey (thin) - Which should it have gone on. ? Any help appreciated

Andy

on the head unit wireing.

Is this a definate before i pull it off? I thought the thin grey one was the wire that becomes live when ignition is on. So its definately blue? Thanks

Connect to B+, its only live when the ignition is on. Think its the grey thick. the thinner is the back up so settings are saved.
I have mine connected like this.

you'll have to use ignition if ya dont have a blue remote wire.

Read your manual you got with your headunit. It will tell you which one to use.

If you dont have an amp remote cable output then you can use the ignition wire. Check with a Multi meter before you go cutting random wired using 'ip dip doo'.

hey guys, cheers its done now.

Pred : Yeah i knew i shudnt have guessed but thought i was guessing right. The head unit wires were not used. I used the original saxo ones, and they only had four wires. After searching i couldnt find anything relavent to these wires. But i second guessed right ;) :P haha - im so impatient and just wanted it done lol. Thanks, Andy
