The last 3 or 4 days i've noticed a really bad squeaking noise. To put it fair, it sounds like the break calliper is seizing up, that sort of squeaking noise.

I've had a passenger in the car for a few days to, his been leaning out the window smoking (As i dont allow smoking in my car as i'm not a smoker and like my things kept clean). Every time i break hard it makes a this squeaking noise. I'm not sure where its coming from but sounds like its in the car . It sounds like where you put your back of the legs on the seat, there is like a false piece of leather (its plastic) and it sounds like thats wearing.

Any hinders would be great as its REALLY annoying.

Thanks
Dan

I have narrowed it down to dry suspension bushes.

I've just had the car jacked up and used half a can of WD40 on the suspension bushes around the front left, soaked them in it, every nuck and cranny then let it dry and put a coat of copper slip spray over the top.

I took it for a run, breaking hard and shaking it side to side. It seems alright now. I'll give it a few hours to dry out completely before i try again.

Make sure the car is jacked up to release the tension from the bushes. I mean spray ALOT of WD40. All over it and in every bit of the bush. If you pull off, it would be at the rear as the weight of the car is heading backwards?

PS. Also spray the fook out of the damper!

Just took it for a major test drive, round town (lots of stop start) down a country lane, round round a bouts, main roads and down a rough rough road down near the scrap yard.

The horrible crunchy squeak has vanished(Soaked the front left bushes with plenty of WD40) but i can hear a VERY fait squeak, sounds like coming from the damper on the left.

Going to get more WD40 tomorrow and spray that. That should then resolve the problem.
