Has anyone ever removed the heater fan located above the accelorator pedal, my car (before i owned it) must have had a smashed windscreen, i found glass chunks in my vent and figured out that my fan is making lound noises because its obviously got glass in it. Just want to empty it out because its really anoying. Any help much appreciated.

Did this a while ago on my step-daughter's 1.1 Saxo.
Can't give a step-by-step guide but you get to it and remove it from under the bonnet. This entails removing the wipers and plastic shield which runs width of windscreen. I managed, with the right combination of u/j, extension bars, and socket, to avoid removing wiper motor as well IIRC.
Sorry it's a bit vague, hope this helps if no-one else comes up with anything more detailed.

*** Amendment to previous post ***
It's unscrewed from above as described, but removed from inside the car. I didn't have to take the dash apart.
Sorry, it was over a year ago and my memory's not quite what it used to, errrr, erm, oh yes, be.
