No power steering

98 VTS, lost power steering.
Still got blowers and heated rear screen, so not the igntion loom fault,
For some strange reason the person before me has filled the bottle to the brim, when the max line is only about a quarter of the way up the bottle?!?
How do I check if the pump is not functioning, is it as simple as checking there is power going to it? But even if there is power going to it, the pump may still be dead?

Any help appreciated?

try tapping the pump with a hammer a few times and see if it free's it up i did same thing to mine a while ago and its been fine since, level of fluid wont affect it unless theres none in it

just go to the scrappy and get anorther one of a f*cked up saxs, but try tapping it with a hammer a few times like said ^^
