hey guys
i was just wondering where abouts the needle sits on your temp gauge, mine is always about 3/4 but i wasn't sure if it was meant to be running at this temp?
cheers

It's fine, so long as it's not in the red and you have a bright light shining in your face telling you "you're about to kill the engine"
If you're that worried, flush your coolant system and refresh it with nice new water and coolant.

on my mk2 its just over a 1/4 unless a stop and then it goes just over half and the fan kicks in

cheers, it never comes on. If i give it death on the back roads to work, the fan sometimes kicks in once ive stopped.
i just thought it might have been running at a high temp and wouldnt be good for the engine, as you say as long as the light dont come on, its fine.

Yeah mine used to always sit just over the halfway mark. Dont worry too much about it, and so long as your fan is working... no problem.
If it gets higher just check your water levels.
