Well when taking my girlfriend to her mates house in sandbanks my temp gage was workin normal, then on the way back it started raising hmm, then it went to top and went red, i got home and left the car till next morning thinking was just a slight hick up, then went to get her in morning and went sky high again, got home let it call down then realised no water in their :(, refilled it and done my usual journeys, checked it again and it was down, when i start my car from cold and rev it i can hear a swirl of water like coming through my dash, and when its warm its fine:wacko:, my oil is fine i done a oil change 2 weeks ago, and checked the cap for deposits which there are none, and dip stick ok, when i left my car in a dry place i noticed a patch of water, so must be a leak some where? any ideas, been reading and the swirl sound is air in the system ?, but dont know where the water coming from ?

any help appreciated
thanks

You need to bleed the system as you refill it to get rid of any air in the system. This is covered in the engine section FAQ. As for the leak, I'm not sure on any common places for it to leak from. Get under there and have a look.

Aye matey sounds like you havent bled it properly, think theres 3 bleed points, on the rad, thermostat and one like a bike tyre valve on the far left hand side (i think)
