sounds like the ignition barrel's fucked mate!

quite a few folk have has this problem - this its a simple case of rewiring two brown wires under the steering wheel...

or buying a whole new ignition barrel, and keys etc from citroen..which is pricey

yeah its your ignition barrel.... citroen bridged my wires in the ignition for £60 however i will need to buy a new barrel for the steering lock to work but that dont really bother me... able to get it done cheaper from a sparky upto you..

Yeah i had this problem about 4 times. I took it to reg vardys 3 times and it still came back, I took it to an auto electrician who re-wired it for £40 and its been fine since.

Hi,

I have the same problem but it is only intermittent and even more weirdly only seems to do it when it's cold. the steering/heatings also sometimes cut out whilst i'm actually driving. is this still a case of getting the ignition barrel re-wired?
