Im guessing that all perform similarly though. The 2nd one looks smartest though. Hate the sponge look smileys/smiley17.gif

the top and bottom are open so will breathe better i used to have that second one on my golf it has a wicked sound when its on and if you have a cold air feed to it it will be wicked good when flooring your foot to in my opinion

1 - universal i beleive .
2 - enclosed , should work well with an exhaust system .
3 - has a big surface area to absorb more air , will only
absort heat from the engine though .
your best bet would be the enclosed . if it is of genuine
design it should deflect the engine heat .

None of them will be terribly good imo, as said above 1 & 3 are open filters so will suck in warm air only and will just sound nice.
The 2nd one is enclosed but like the piperx viper is enclosed in metal so again will attract more warm air than say a bmc enclosed. smileys/smiley2.gif

2nd is enclosed in carbon
does that make any difference? execpt you can direct it from where to suck air

yes you can direct it so it will suck cold air! but look at the top of the filter & the neck of it! these are metal! and where ever you put it suffer fron heat soak! this wil cause the air to warm as it flows thu it....
means less performance, the BMC has no metal! & is well enclosed in carbon fibre. the science behind the flow of air thu the filter to maximise the speed it travels thu it is also rather impressive.... you pay for wot you get.
