Just picked up some 15" OZs to use as track wheels :)

Stamped on them is 7Jx 15 ET37

Are these ford fitment so require 26mm spacers?

If so i spotted these spacers made by HEI - they look like really good quality compared to many others - just wondering if they will be fine for the wheels?

|Those spacers are a bag of shit. Mate bought soem to fit some leggeras and the official OZ supplier laughed at him. You need OZ spacers. Which are about £75 per pair new and about 6 week wait atm due to UK supplier going bust.

Yeah, funny that OZ wheels fit OZ spacers, Kei spacers shown above fit Kei wheels.

And it was an alloy wheel store, which is also one of the only suppliers of OZ stock.

Anyone else any thoughts on this? :)

Jorge - thanks for your input - can you tell me exactly why those ones in the link are shit?

You'll have to measure the centre bore with a vernier caliper mate, as Oz made loads of different sizes.
Citroen/Pug is 65.1 centre bore so will need a spiggot ring that converts to that.

Ok will get them measured :)

Id love to know where the eveidence in this post is rather than "word of mouth". This type of spacer is much better than the ones OZ provide you with. The ones they give are shitty spacers that just use 4 long thread bolts. In my opinion you DONT want this setup as a longer bolt will be more prone to snap under hard conditions. Its true that it may never happen but Id rather be more safe than sorry.

This type of spacer is a much better design/concept. Spacer bolts to hub, then wheels bolts to spacer. Yes you use two sets of bolts per corner but its much better than 4 longer bolts!

I wouldnt go for the KEI kit but there are much better ones available. The ones I have dude are H&R spacers from performancealloys.com:

^^ Somebody also posted a link to some cheaper versions of the same kind of spacer on Ebay. Much cheaper than the H&R kit but same thing.

Sorry buts so stupid when people post bullshit comments without any backup. When I had my Superlegs BRAND NEW way back they were provided with 20mm spacers and longer thread bolts. I was told by OZ that the wheels came in the correct fitment for my car, so when I saw the spacers and bolts I was like WTF.

But like a fool rather than return them and buy different wheels fitted them :(

The majority of the lateral load is taken up by the hub spigot sitting inside the c/bore of the wheel, not the bolts. The bolts only clamp it on, so undergo tension far more than they do shear.

From what Ive read the forces act at where the head of the wheel bolts and thread on bolt meet. Logically makes sense, as the wheel pulls away from the hub/spacer under heavy cornering its the bolts that hold the wheel in position.

I take it the cheaper ones on ebay are these?

http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Hubcentric-Wheel-Spacer-Kit-Ford-Wheels-on-to-Peugeot_W0QQitemZ220379882898QQcmdZViewItemQQptZUK _CarsParts_Vehicles_CarParts_SM?hash=item220379882 898&_trksid=p3286.c0.m14&_trkparms=72%3A1683|66%3A2|65%3A12|39%3A1|240%3A13 18

If so they arent that cheap at 52.50 for 2 - looking at around 115.00.

The KEI ones look fairly decent too me - not too disimiliar to the H&R ones or the ones in the ebay link

Sorry just going back to the KEI Spacers - Will they be ok to bolt on the OZs in ford fitment as they are Pug/Cit spacers? - they may be no good if the OZs are ford wheels

Thats basically what you have to do, the car manufacturer isnt important.

To fit a Ford Fitment wheel to a 106/Saxo you need 4x108 20mm spacers which are widely known as Peugeot/Citroen spacers.

Ford Offset is around ET35, your 106's is around ET15, so you need to add 20mm of extra width per each hub (35 - 20 = 15) to get them to sit right.

It may be worth adding that when Alex and the guys were working on my car Sunday they found one of my H&R spacers to be damaged! Where the bolt threads into the spacer the ring has cracked. So on the lookout for some "tougher" ones but dont have a clue where to look.

When I needed spacers, I used bolt throughs and converted to studs and nuts. No more fucking about.

Ok so a decent set of Peugeot/Citroen spacers will be fine to bolt the wheels on?

The OZs i have are ET37. I measured the center bore and got 65mm but the inside bore had a slight tapered lip to 68mm. I only had a ruler to hand so that was rough measurement.

Im just concerned any spacers i get in Pug/Cit fitment will need accept the OZs in ford fitment.
