Rear speakers - am I being really thick??

Hi everyone! Am I being thick? How do I get the covers off my rear speakers? They appear to be solidly attached to the moulding, and the wiring has worked loose on one speaker. I've tried to prise the cover off with a screwdriver, used my fingers, sworn, cursed, bled and so on. Any clues anyone can give me would be really appreciated. Cheers!

Wow.......I feel better for knowing I wasn't being thick noy being able to get that stupid bit of 6" square plastic off.......! But taking the back seat out and taking off the door card.....oh well, think I'll put up with a crap sound system for now.....cheers guys!

what you have to do is to take the bench part of the rear seat out

then take undo the bolt attatching the seat belt to the seat area off

then open window, lift the bottom part of the seal up

on the affected side pull the door seal up where it covers the card

then gently pull it off the car, you should be able to pull it far enough to
fiddle round and reconnct the wires, if not then wiggle it out and wiggle it
back in.

Its really simple.

The wiggling in and out bit is a bugger but u soon get used to it and it
becomes pretty simple.

i just made sure all the sound is fed to my front speakers. lol! haven't been arsed to take the rears out

im having same problem everyone says its really easy but i can t doo it for the life of me!!!!!!... where am i going wrong.

i wouldnt bother with the rears just get some decent ones in the front

I fitted 6x9s (shh i know).

When i did it, i took off the small pannel in the boot that hides the seatbelt mechinism.

Pulled all the weather seals aside.

then from the boot pulled at the rear pannel till 2 clips poped out.

Then i just snipped the wires and block connected them to an extension.

(the speakers are still there :p cunt be arsed to take em out, plus i mite lose em)
