View Full Version : strange clonking noise , very loud , from front passanger wheel..

i, noticed today that my vts is making a loud clonking noise , it seems to be coming from the front passanger wheel , happens when i full lock the steering to the right and then straighten up ...... any ideas , i holp its nothing serious , cars lowered 50mm, and yeasterday on my drive home from work i hit a very large pot hole in the road .
any ideas ?

my driveshaft . oh no how much do you reckon thats gonna cost to fix ?

Driveshafts arnt that expensive, less than £100 each i'd of thought. I need both of mine replacing.

lift your bonnet and get someone to turn the wheel whilst u look at the top supension strut. mine does the same and its the bolt in the middle. i tighten it then its fine but it then works itself loose agen.

its worth a look before u do the driveshafts matey

mine does the same thing on drivers wheel but havent checked it out properly yet

could be as mentioned driveshaft

possibly a ball joint or track rod

easy and cheap fix though
