Just wondering...
My car was in the garage, got work done, then they had to sort the tracking...
I was driving and at 50 mph the steering wheel began to shake quite bad so i took it back, turned out the wheels needed balanced, so i had to take it elsewhere as they didnt have a balancing machine...
Got the wheels balanced and its still shaking a bit, but have also discovered the steering wheel isnt straight...
Soooo am i right in thinking that i need the tracking done again ???...

its just because the first garage... i watched him sort the tracking, he used the track gauges and everything seemed fine, top guy! Then the second place balanced the wheels, and when i got it back the steering wheel was squint  ... i dunno, guess i will just get the tracking done again and take it from there

Aye - the steering wheel should be braced to prevent it moving around. Did they have the front wheels on plates to remove any friction? Could be the wheel looked straight when they did it, but was partially under load and went back to at-rest position after the tracking was finished?

I have no idea mate, i just watched from the waiting room, only seen the brackets on the wheels.... but yeah they may have done something wrong so i shall take it back and get them to do it again :wall:
