ive had this car for nearly 2 years, majority of it spent on my drive in bits, i bought her 3 weeks before a trip to the nuremberg and a week later found a hole in the gearbox and a worn or bent rear axle.

i spent the next 2 weeks stripping it and waiting on bits to fix everything, ended up fitting a 1.1 gearbox cos the scrappy robbing bastard sold me the wrong box, had a right mission trying to press out the old stub pin from the axle but luckily a sneaky trip into work one night sorted that.

the nurberg didn’t go to well, we got to the track early morning and not knowing where we were going ended up in the queue for the track so 4 ppl in the car and wet road ended up in the barrier haha, nothing serious but got the car towed home and decided to rebuild pretty much everything, the damage was minimal, only a bonnet and bumper needed but it spurred me on.

anyway nearly 2 years on and im happy, still got the body work to do, i think itll be in the garage next week if itll go over there speed hump.

i love it mate.. really fancy doing something like this with mine. but high miles so dont know if there is any point :( the wheels look ace. all id say if i had to change anything it would be the seats. the standard GTi Leather would look alot more subtle and go better with the syle you have..

car looks mint though good job :p

yeah i always get nurberg wrong ill change that hehe, the bra's only on to protect bonnet itll come off at shows etc, its a poo fit around the grill may try and get another.

hopfully the bodyshop are doin the rear boot and bumper next week, ive only just taken them off yesterday and found nice scratch marks under them so more of an excuse to do it.

the exhaust is just from the scrappy of a 1.1, probaly restricting it but ill have a custom one done once the bumper is sorted.

not changing them seats i really like them, the all leather one will have alacantra to match the other one.

i never had a gti matey, had a goldy 106 xsi before. that cought on fire cos of a dodgy engine so broke it for bits :(

25th March 2009, 14:25

You have just done what you want to your car, and looks savage, as mentioned, those few touches on the boot and rear bumper and It'l be sorted.

You're only down in Plymouth so I'll ask, who're you getting to retrim your seat? I have a rear bench that needs doing, but cant get any good prices..

have you not had scratches from the bra like most people get???

ive not had it on long mate and not taken it off yet, i did wonder if it would scratch it up, gonna try to get a custom one made and see how it looks weather it stays or not im not sure.

Thats stunning. Love it mate. How come one seat has Sparco embossed in the headrest are and one doesnt?

yes there different seats but same make and model, i got them at seperate times on ebay and trust me you wouldnt mind at the price, the embossed sparco in one seat is prob something i wont change.

Lovely car. Lets see some underbonnet pics
I dont usually like slammed, but it suits it on those wheels

ive got some recent ish pics ill dig them out now, anything but slammed on these wheels looks wank.

lookin good m8, but are the two front seats the same or different models.

lee is there anything else you want to copy me on? im affraid your just them few steps behind hehe ;)

my wheels are 7.5 front and 8 rear, isnt any room on the rear but maybe another half on the front but then there wud be more poke at front than rear, where did you get the gold bolts from mine are shit quality want some new ones, hope you got ss outters?

i like the fog lights i dont like large areas of smooth panel, just the same as i dont like saxos with everything colour coded just doesnt work for me.

looks absolutely gorgeous that does....im in love

Rims and height are spot on, what kind of coilovers are you running?

my own specials, ive done a write up on coilovers and covers how to do them, also check out my spec page.

http://i35.photobucket.com/albums/d177/106pete/saxo/S5000176.jpg

old stub pin from axle, i dont know if the trailing arm was bent or it was just the pin being so worn, not something u expect on a 03 plate with 42k!
http://i35.photobucket.com/albums/d177/106pete/saxo/S5000182.jpg

a couple pics of past projects:
track 106, i got sold a duff 16v engine. spent shit loads trying to find out why it didnt have top end power, only found out after it spat out all its oil and a small fire that the sump must have been smashed in and bent the dipstick tube so constantly had 1' to much oil!!

sorry mr original lol, i never knew about your car tbh, but iv got spec the only spec i see on yours is under the bonnet iv got mine else where so :P lols

iv got my 3 inch rear dishes arriving soon and im getting my bolts re anodized through work at a local metal finish company :D so no more shite faded gold bolts for me :D

and yes i got high polished Stainless dishes lol got to be a pimp now days aint we lol.

i like the standard look to but i also like to carry on lines of the car on like.

also nice digs at me about the suspension and stuff.

106pete
14th April 2009, 19:46
dont give me that, u spoke to me in october about the wheels and i believe a month later u had something special planned ;)

spec? whats spec?

im glad uve got stainless tho everyone one ive spoken to with ally dish has seriously regretted it, make sure u put cling film over the gold bolts as you torque them up, saves the anodizing from being damaged.

i was being nice about the suspension, u really shud have asked before telling that guy to by springs when i clearly modded the suspension u have for a good reason, it may seem to simple as alex put it but it works.

bored of my saxo now, if anyone wants to buy it, pm me but u better have deep pockets!
