well after my second meshed grill surround fell off on the motorway due to the glue either melting or just come away i ve now had to purchase another standard mk2 grill just for the surround so i now have to spray another one.
the mesh stayed on as the torx screws keep it attached but is there anyway of keeping the grill surround on without using the glue.
cheers.

when you cut the slats, dont cut off all the holes for the grill, leave something for the screws to screw into

thats how i did it mate.
the mesh is still on the car with the screws but the plastic grill surround dosent screw in iirc.

it should do if you've still got the screw holes on the grill surround, that's how mine is held in, and that's been fine for the last year and a half I've owned the car..

that is what im referring to..

when you cut away the centre part, don't cut away the screw holes on the big surround, then there will be something for the screw to bite into..
