Finally, I've had chance to check out the java script to add the photo details to the resized images.

Thanks Fred - It works great!!

Here's a example, of what I shall be using until something changes my mind smileys/smiley17.gif

I used javascript in Photoshop CS to drag the EXIF details from the file, which the camera stores.

Here's the script and config file...

Unzip the files... Add the .jsx file to the photoshop folder containing the other jsx scripts... think it's in//~/presets/scripts

Put the settings/config file anywhere you like.. but rememebr where it is.

Load up a photo in CS, then file> scripts>webphoto...

You need to edit the settings/config file to specify colours, etc, etc...

See if you get it working and if you do, ask some more specific questions smileys/smiley17.gif

You need Photoshop CS or CSII for it to run.

GreenSaxo

oz. edit the "settings.ini" file.. look for a line that says...

TEXT_COPYRIGHT_CONTENT = \u00A9 [ORIGINALYEAR;$1 ;2005] your name here [title; - $1]

and change your name here to your name! lol

How do you change the date settings to UK/english?

As i have changed the name part, colours etc, but the date still comes up as augustus, or januari! or something similarly foreign!

And ideas? Found the date section in the script but no idea!!

## [ORIGINALDATE,ORIGINALTIME;\rDate photo taken: $1 ][!ORIGINALDATE,DATETIME;Date : $2]

any ideas?

And how do you get a file refernce such as simo, has on his first pic, comes just after the date!

Simo
7th December 2005, 05:45
Been a while since I set mine up, but I rememebr the dates appearing in foreign too... I deactivated one type of date field and used another. Wasnt the format I was after, but was better than foreign dates.

THis is the code I use...

TEXT_INFO_CONTENT= [MODEL][lENS,FOCALLENGTH; with $1 @ $2][!LENS,FOCALLENGTH;, Focal: $2][FSTOP;, $1][EXPOSURETIME;, $1][ISOSPEED;, ISO: $1][EXPOSUREBIAS;, Exposure (+/-) : $1][FLASH;$1][ORIGINALDATE;\rPhoto Taken: $1][ORIGINALTIME;, $1][ORIGINALFILENAME;, File Ref: $1][!ORIGINALDATE,DATETIME;Datum : $2]

philb
8th December 2005, 05:49
Tried it! The filename ref works!

But the date still comes up foreign! Januari, Mai!

Might try adding the Exposurebias, and flash next! but dont want it to cluttered!

Any more ideas on the date????

Simo

You need to get rid of one of the date fields... does the '!' mark comment our a field?

I know I have a few date fields identified, but only one is used.

If you copy all of the date stuff from my settings above, does it display normally?

Seem to rememebr there are prioritues, 1, 2, etc... if the code cant find one thing, it defaults to the next... etc.

I definately rememebr having foreign dates, until I turned one date field off. smileys/smiley24.gif

Will have a look at the settings tomorrow if youve not sorted it by then.

philb
8th December 2005, 22:49
Still displaying in french i think! tried removing the '!' and changing position, deleting number 1 date command, deleting number 2 date command!!

Any more ideas?

Just remembered how I fixed the dates to appear as English...

The clog-dates are hard coded into the webphoto.jsx file. Simply replace the dates with English equivalents.

=["januari","februari","maart","april","mei","juni","juli","augustus","september","oktober","november","december"];

mattchewone

Where have you downloaded and saved to? It should be in adobe; photoshop; presets; scripts. There should be a file called settings and look like a notepad. Although im pretty sure it should adjust the date, as i didnt need to change mine.
