Thinking of jazzing up my rocker cover , will i need special paint for this ? anyone tried this at all ? thinking of a rainbow effect i saw this on a cosworth once looked very :cool:

is there any other paint than hammerite i can use ? my mrs has a air brush kit as she does custom nails , i thought of letting her have a go on spraying it up as her artwork is pretty good ...

Rocker covers get a bit warmer than fingernails....
I used normal rattle cans to paint mine, it's all about the preparation on that tho else it will just peel off, clean it really really well and use an acid etch primer

cheers mate , yeah was'nt going to use nail varnish !! lol though you get some wicked colours though , ta mate

Did mine with rattlecans and laquer 4 months ago pic shows it lasts if done carefully

ive not done mine lol although it is rusting a bit at the front :( it just looks a bit of a pain to take off and put back on, although the rest of my engine bay looks quite nice now having gave it a quick once over with WD40 last nite for 20 minutes :y:
