use these programs:

avg free
spybot search and destroy
spyware blaster
superantispyware free
ccleaner

use the defrag and disk cleaner

do a disk check to check for errors.

use comodo firewall to protect you from further virus/hackers.

Google search any of those things to get help on using them.

If you can get hold of one also get a registry defragger.

have you got a COA sticker on the case with the code for xp/vista still legible?

if you can see it download the relevant copy of xp/vista and go for a format...

Lol +1 tbh...

Nah my old PC started becoming ridiculously slow but it turned out I was downloading too much porn and it was getting clogged up with rubbish.

Compression test, induction kit to the cpu.

Clear all the temporary files on the disc cleanup. Defrag. Sort out your startup in the msconfig. Scan for any viruses, spyware etc. Upgrade CPU and RAM as already said.

Faster HDD and faster cables if you can like sata2 insteada sata etccc

factory reset
takes everything back to how it was
but you will have no music/microsoft word etc/other programs youve paid for
worked an absolute treat on mine, back to new basically after getting a nasty porn virus

Download "Autoruns" and untick all the crap you don't want to startup when you boot up your Comp..

Should make it quicker loading up..

you can do that by typing MSCONFIG into the run bar. You don't need any shitty program

how... whats the difference between stopping the program running and getting a program to stop a program running?
