Do you think this knocks value off a car even if the car runs nice?

Basically when I bought my saxo, the guy I bought it off (Dad's friend) said it had 2/3's service history (85k miles) so I bought it and was waiting for the book, which subsequently he couldn't find (surprise surprise, the guy is a knob jockey and his cars always have a story).

Anyway, the car drove ok, but I'm looking to sell it now cos I can't seem to shift my Vectra. I've replaced the gear box cos the other one was shot (wouldn't stay in third), I've had the handbrake tightened up a bit, replaced the exhaust cos the other was loud and had 2 holes in, I've had a full service done, and just got it through it's MOT and taxed it.

It's an 03' VTR and I'm looking for £2,000 for it, but can I expect to get that amount without service history?

Cheers!

About £1600 - £1700 I'd expect to pay for that with mileage and no service history

Aye well, there is one born every minute isn't there.

Anyway, this can be locked now, my Dad just rang and someone wants my Vectra for £2.1k. Funny how these things happen isn't it :S

Looks like I'm stuck with the saxo!

For the record, I gave £1,450 for that saxo as well lol.
