get the auto glym engine bay cleaner, or there is this pink shit in halfords in a red bottle for a 5er *highly reccomend, its brilliant*, some kind of de-greaser...

get cling film, wrap up ALL the eecticals and wires, spray the cleaner / greaser all over the bay let it set, then hose it all off... should be spanking!

turn engine on, let it tick over for 10 mins to warm up and get rid of any loose ends.
:y:

sorted

EDIT : i say this alot... i think i might do an engine bay cleaning thread.

My bay is never dirty enough to make a massive difference cleaning it, same at outside my car, it is a tried and tested product that has been on the market a very very long time tho

Elliot cleaning a diesel bay is easy, I just got some bike cleaner or something (it worked), sprayed it on and hosed it off and it looks great, I used a paint brush to get into the hard areas.

I'll find the stuff, my dad just handed it to me while I was cleaning the car and told me to put some on the engine bay. It does the job!

Sorry to bump ths thread up, but is there anything you can reccomend for use by hand? i would rather get a cloth of some sort and clean it that way. Uptil now i have been using pledge/mr sheen and an old rag, seems to do the trick. Just wondering if anyone else does anythingg similar with good results?
