Managed to talk my step dad into lowering the back, he wasn't sure about messing with the torsion bar but shown him a guide and he will do it :y: Having a mechanic in family is more than great lol

What size/length springs should i get for the front? The suspension is standard on my saxo, (or it might be off a 4x4 from looking at the pictures) i want it low but not stupidly low that i smash something on the bottom :panic:

Would like it this low or lower (a lot lower at the front but still 50/50 height)

from previous postings i woul reccomend 40mm for just springs but if you want to go any lower you need the hole kit tbh and for the rear you could have it up to around 60-70 mm without any scrapes with them wheels on, maybe a bit bouncy with standard torsion bars though but get it done properly with the addequate gear dude! rare colour tooo!

People will always say 40mm or there abouts but to be honest thats only a very vague estimate.

It depends largely on what sort of kit you'll be using.

For example a car lowered 40mm but using just springs and standard dampers will still be largely crap compared to say stiff coilovers at the front at 60mm with uprated dampers all round blah blah etc.

The best way to look at it really is to ask whats the best that i can get for my money (whatever figure you have)

Very small budget :n: i was hoping to buy some lowering springs off here for £30 or less and fit them, get the rear lowered and im on my way. If i find that the car is stupidly rough going over the slightest bumps i will probably get upgraded shocks, but need to look at prices.
Not bothered if the car handles like a dog, just want it lower than a land rover lol
