sprayed my mirrow caps the other day, so what do i do now? in terms as polishing or using rubbing compound and stuff to get a smother finish or what ever, got told by an old guy who restores old cars to use 1000 grade wet and dry then tcut it out but that seem like an old methored lol, although it dose actually work but dont reli wanna do that,
i dont wanna buy anything else tbh and the stuff ive got is ag srp, rubbing compound, wax and a few other bits,
ill get some pics up maybe,
any help would be great but please noone saying any daft comments about the tcut methored cos i aint stupid lol,
thanks

1000 is nuts lol. Use 2000 or higher with a little bit of water all over rubbing really gently with no more than one pass. Then clean it down and get a rubbing compound on it such as farecla g3. that will bring up a nice shine then just hit it with some srp.

I just sanded in between coats then laquered. Waited a few days then used AG SRP ...I thought as it's the best for removing swirls by hand, it should be OK lol. They're fine now. I read somewhere not to wash the car or do anything to the mirror caps for a couple of weeks.
