Recommendations

I've been told that I'm getting a digital camera for Christmas and I've to pick what one I want. I've got a budget of roughly £100-£150. I know this isn't going to get me a top of the line camera but what would you recommend for that price range?

I'm not looking for a professionals camera, just something thats easy to use and takes good quality pics.

The Exilims looks really cool aswell but are more expensive than the Ixus.

mate you should have been up bluewater last week samsung were doing a stand if you bought a camera you got a free memory card my girlfriend got a 5meg pix from boots just under 100 i think went there and got a free 128 mb card

Aye the Boots £99.99 offer is some Kodak camera. Wasn't sure if it was any good. I got a £65 voucher to spend in Dixons/Currys/PC World yesterday so I'm gonna put that towards the camera. So I'd rather buy the camera from one of those places. Plus I know someone who works at Dixons so might be able to get it a bit cheaper smileys/smiley17.gif

Yeah I've just been looking at that. Same price as the Ixus but its got 6 Megapixels whereas the Ixus is only 4.

If you want picture quality, get a Canon.

Wont the Casio have better picture quality though sinse its got 6 megapixels compared to the ixus' 4? I don't have a clue about digital cameras as I'm sure you've guessed smileys/smiley17.gif

Megapixels have nothing to do with picture quality, just picture size... and even then, you only need it when you want to print very large pics. And even then, lots of companies lie about how much MP their camera's have as they're often in-camera multiplied.
Picture quality is lens, chip, etc. etc.
