Nissan 300zx Twin Turbo..(discuss)

Hi all,

Has anyone on here been in or driven/owned a nissan 300zx Twin turbo? as im looking into gettting one as a second car..

Any experience with these if youve been in one etc would be good to hear your views and thoughts.

i have driven a few, there bloody big, the size of a van lol but prity fast and handle quite well, insides not the best looking but overall a good car for the money

Guy I used to work with,
literally banged on at me for driving a hatch, and how GREAT these are,
how it's his dream car, how he'll have it in a year.

So.......a year went past,
and he bought it.
was Shagged beyond belief after 2 weeks,
made it into work 4 out of 10 days, and even then one of the days it was leaking coolant.
Turbo / s went.
Was just total shit, lol.

can be bastard fast but they need looking after, and theyre a complete pig to work on! plus you've got 7000 differnt specs, 2+2, LWB/SWB and god knows what else! driven quite a few when i worked shifting greys about just after leaving the RAF. dont see hundreds about though which is good!

I've had a ride in one. I can't remember exactly what model it was but it know it was a 3.0litre twin turbo v6 i', pretty sure. Fast a fuck. Tyres got very hot very quick. A bit ugly and a big wide car IMO.

I was seriously considering one as a cheap summer project. They're very quick, small tweaks should see 300+bhp easily, although many are old and in bad shape so hunt around, you could find some good examples on 300zx.co.uk.

Here is the old 300ZX v the 350Z, for the money you won't find much quicker.
Its at 5:30 btw, so you'll need to skip a few.
