The time is nearin for my sax's first mot and service!

Now im gettin some extreme figures for cost!!

ranging from 70 through to 400!!

How much do u guys think is about right for a full service (considering an mot is around 45 pounds!)

I've not had a major service done yet only a couple of basics and intermediate and the garage i used to use has gone! smileys/smiley13.gif

im not paying a citroen price........i've checked with garages down here about havin a service history from citroen and they said that if i had regular services and a stamped book it wouldnt effect the price i would get for my car!

and of course its worth havin the car serviced it runs better for starters smileys/smiley5.gif

MOT should only cost u about £30. My Saxo had a full service before i got it this time last year which cost £200 and by the looks of it that covered just about everything u could think of. Citroen rip u off all over the place. went down there the uva week to ask about a foglamp wiring kit.... they said it wud cost me £200 for the whole lot, so what did i do.. went to car user and got a full wiring kit for a tenner smileys/smiley4.gif happy days

i was told an mot is around 45 standard so im not too worried about that.

ive already ruled out one garage cos it had a right sexist mechanic tellin me that women get special air put in their tyres cos we never remember to check them!

and that was an extra £8!!! smileys/smiley7.gif

I always find it depends on the garage with the MOT, One failed me for a dodgy number plate light. At a different place it would have failed on wipers and brake lights but they fixed it and just added the parts to the price.

Yer most places wont charge you for a re MOT if you get the work that needs doing done there. A Lot of them try to keep that quite though for some reason. I thought it would attract more work.
