fag lighter

anytime i put something in the socket it just blows the fuse, i have footwell neons (chav style lol smileys/smiley16.gif ) and havent had time to wire them to the lights yet but cant use them,

i cant use my mobile charger or bluetooth charger or the fag lighter at all. im scared to touch it cause i end up with no horn, or rear window demister.

im not overloading it and ive replaced it with a higher fuse but it still does it.

anybody got any ideas??

you might want to think about wire the footwell neon seprate as the horn and window demister are on the same fuse i think then again it might be drawing too much current might need a new socket. smileys/smiley4.gif

they are gettign wired to the lights, just not had time yet.

wasnt just neons that did it, my mibile charger and bluetooh charger did it aswell, along with the actuall lighter bit aswell!! anything i put in blows it, nothing more than 12vs go in.

its a 30A fuse and ive always replaced it with a 30 so surely it shouldnt blow even when usuing the actual ligher its designed for????

hi lora you might need a new cig socket the pins inside might be damaged thats what might be happening escort mk3 were bad for doing that just to be on the safe side let a auto electrician have a look he might sort the problem out smileys/smiley4.gif
