that looks pretty bad!!!
is your engine and wheels all alright? to me, it just looks like cosmetic damage so i personally wouldnt have thought it was a write off, but it all depends how much it costs to get it repaired.
glad to hear you are all alright though

Well look's simliar to my friends when someone smahed into the front of his saxo, His dident get written of but then again it was only one side of the front what was damaged heavilly. Looking at yours it's both sides. All i can say is good luck man, Glad you are ok though.

break it and sell it for bits!!
otherwise ull struggle 2 sell it as its an insurance write off!!
also if u repair it ull ave to take it to the dvla mot centre to get a proper chech over and mot!!
and its not cheap!!

Imo, i would take the money & sell the car as a whole in the current condition & possibly look at buying this car (http://www.sax-p.com/forum/forum_posts.asp?TID=22917&PN=1)

i agree oz's car is hot and for how much youre getting from the insurance any money from selling the car can go in the bank
saxobaby
30th November 2005, 20:43
I disagree, no way is it a write off, one of my VTR's had MUCH worse damage and cost me all in all £900 and I got a full respray and she was good as new, providing the airbag didnt go off, its an easy repair, depends on how much your insurance company pays out, which ever works out in your favour.

i wouldnt want a front end car fixed up again after it being that bad, you can see how bad it is now, what happens if its in a crash again?
does the engine still run ok?
the whole front end of the car has moved over to the drivers side, i wouldnt want it back after that
saxx
30th November 2005, 21:08
mine only just made it through for repair and mine still resembled a car!
saxobaby
30th November 2005, 21:24
Well if its just cosmetic what difference does it make, if the engine is un damaged so what if you have new bodywork, its the same as when you modify the bodywork
Yates
1st December 2005, 01:34
its a bit more than cosmetic tho, you can see the radiator has been pushed right across, take a bit to straighten that back out
Sean
1st December 2005, 01:47
all depends if the chassis legs have been bent. if they have it's easy enough to have them straightened out on a jig, but i'd still feel safer in a car that hadn't had this done.
Dan
