Ok heres the problem, i replaced my cat a few months ago with a cheapy brand new 1, the problems then went down hill from here, first the lambda sensor light came on, which ive replaced with a brand new 1, this seemed to clear the problem but now the engine management light is back on and the car is miss-fireing:wall:, ive had it on the computer at my m8s garage and it says that the (Bank 1) sensor is too low, it says this for the o2 sensor aswell which i belive is the same sensor! Ive been informed that the "Crank Shaft Sensor" is a common fault on saxo's which may be what is causing the miss-fireing. Would the reason for the engine light been on agiain be because of the cheap cat i put on? Also how do you go about de-catin them with a 4 branch, surley these problems would persist with the cat not even been there in the 4 branch?

to decat it get a standed mk1 downpipe (mk1 cat is under the car,
as for the sensors, i would get the immisions checked, local mot center will do it for a drink and will give you a better idea whats wrong

So you changed the pre-CAT lambda (one with the green connector)? That should have sorted it tbh, as that one adjusts the fueling. The second lambda just checks CAT efficiency and flags up the engine warning light if the gasses read after the CAT aren't right.
To decat it with an aftermarket mani, you need to screw the green lambda into the manifold. The blue one screws into a metal sleeve and gets cable tied out the way - that fools it into thinking it's reading 'clean' gas and *should* keep the warning light off.
I'll come have a tinker on with it sometime if you get stuck.

Well u see the new lambda sensor has took the light off, but it's the miss-fireing that's the real pain, cos it still is!! I thought it was the lambda sensor that was causing it but obviously not! I'm gona get a new crank shaft sensor nd see if it's any better!

So you definitely changed the first lambda - one that sticks out the top of the manifold? I've nay idea where the crank sensor is like, must be down near the gearbox somewhere.

yup defo changed that 1 lol! yeah im sure its down that side like, just been told its a common fault on them nd that i should change that first and see if that clears the fault up!
