Ok, I have replaced my whole rear brakes....discs, pads, calipers, and handbrake cables, but still failed the MOT retest. Apparently I am only getting readings of 36 and 39 on rear (should be 100+)
Test station said it would be the rear load compensator valve, but looking through old posts my 02 VTR wouldnt have one of those see post 15 (http://www.saxperience.com/forum/showthread.php?t=85285&highlight=brake+compensator).
I can hardly even see what I do have, its stuck away above the exhaust somewhere.

So...do I have compensator thingy or not?

WTF is EBD? (probably expensive)
It does explain why my rear brakes are knackered though if they havent been getting any pressure

Are 106 parts the same? (if so which, as there is aMK1 vtr and 2 106s in the scrappy. The 106s have drums, so I assume different)
Any other cars have the bit I need?

Wish I could even see the damn thing, maybe in daylight.

Oh, and is it mounted to beam or bodyshell...as it might be easier to just drop beam right off if its on there??

Sorry for such a story, really need help like yesterday

pull passenger side rear wheel off and up by the shell on top of the beam (actually attatched to the beam) there will be a small box with the brake lines going in
thats your compenator valve

im pretty sure all ofthe vt modela have one on
