Rite, I'm picking my mate new saxo up for him this Saturday and taking it back to mine where it will stay for a while, whilst im doing some bits to it. As I will be driving it back, I need to get a 1 day insurance policy or something similar. I'm cureently insure fully comp with admiral but they specify that you have to be 25 to drive another car third party.

Any suggestions would be grealty apprecited :y:

Thanks

Unfortuntly not. It states in my policy document that you have to be over 25 and fully comp to do that ...... All aload of crap tbh. So will have to find an alterative method :y: Thanks anyway

Have you searched online? I'm sure there was and Ad on TV the other day for weekend Insurance...

I would just risk it, and if you get pulled just say you bought it, and your driving it straight home.

Iv looked loads for Temp insurance and most are like 25+ Maybe ring Admiral and ask them to swap the cars over then swap them back when you get back.

Risk it without Insurance!

Work out the odds of being pulled:

It's still going to be Insured under the other geeza's name still, still got tax and mot. (hopefully) and ask yourself, how many times have you been pulled over driving? I know i haven't been at all in over 3 years.

I'm sure they'll let you off with a slap on the wrist anyway.

Cant you just swap it on to your insurents then swap it back after. It should only cost you £25 to do this.

If he dose get pulled, then he will get 6 points straight off for no insurents, and thats a year ban unless he has been driving for over two years. Its really not worth it.:homme:
Also if he runs someone over on the way home with no insurents he will be going down for a long time.

£30 on my car for 1 day, id probably just risk it if ur just guna drive it less than 30 miles. Otherwise id consider the £30 just incase.

Ok thanks guys. Well you got a good point there. It will still be insured under the other guys name, so would not flag up under an anpr system. Plus has tax and mot. I will probably risk it as its only about 25 mile away !

Get him to drive it over to yours?
His insurance, his car, his license.
