Hi everyone..

My brother and me have been stuck servicing his saxo vtr for the first time.. here goes..

- Undone oil filter cap (The hex head with like cross links in the middle) and redone
- Drained old oil out
- Refilled with flushing liquid and ran for 15 mins
- Drained again
Now we can't get the damn top off to change the oil filter, I know you need a special tool normally but we got it off first time with a hex head, now the damn thing is stuck, I am sure we didn't overtightened it first time, tried everything inc spraying the lip bit where the threads are with wd40 but will this bugger come off? No way!! Really stuck at the mo. Any help would be appreciated.. it's been fully moded will upload pics whenever I can.. but to list one of the few things carried out on it..
- Modded bonnet
- Modded front bumper
- Modded back bumper
- Twin 6" exhaust
- Limo Black tinted rear windows
- k&N induction kit
- New alloys

looks really sweet - bought it as a fron end crash and done it up from there...

Thx

pair of pliers or pipe wrench then just get a new one if you fuck it.

Why did you loosen it and then put it back on.
What type of filter is it? Is it all contained in it's own housing or do you just replace the oil filter element inside a housing?

I'm assuming the second?

try a pair of mole grips mate providing you can get them on tight enough without them twisting on the head

Correct.. The housing is kinda round and the filter sits inside it.. aparently it was necessary to put it back on to flush the old oil out.. truthfuly he knows more about it than I do.. I am just a sparky... lol:fcuk:panic::

Snap :y:

You can just add engine flush to the old oil before you drain it. I reckon you two just need to put some fucking effort into it :P And when the housing is tightened it's not supposed to be done up particularly tight at all. And always coat the threads/o-ring with oil.
