Hello guys, I bought a Furio today (2001 35k on the clock, £1400 :P) and the central locking doesnt work at all, even with key and on the remote :( So even turning key in lock doesnt open any other doors, battery has been changed in FOB and still nothing.

Any ideas?

Cheers :y:

CITROEN SAXO 99 > - Remote Key Programming

1. Unlock the vehicle using the Key.

2. Press the LOCK button 2 times within 20 seconds of unlocking the vehicle

found this on the net.
not sure if its right :S

dont know much on electrics. it wont be the fob.
they maybe relay run?
check if theres a clicking noise while lockng the car from the inside.
or the drivers soleinoid.
try and unlock it from the passenger side and see if the boot opens maybe.

No chance of it being the fob....if the lights flashing, its fine...

Might need reprogramming, if it aint working with the key, that defo rules out the fob.

I know this might be a daft thing to say, but have you tried disconnecting the battery for ten minutes then reconnecting?

Not very good on electrics but i at least gave it a shot lol!

Hmm cant see any light flashing? And the fuse is fine, but also found out the passenger door doesnt open with the key, so its either a different door, or someone has had a go with a screwdriver with the previous owner. Related?

i have no central locking atall!
have ordered new ir sensor(mark1)as its missing but it dont work with the key so thats just to set up later.
i have just de pinned doors and inside doors are two ellecrical connectors on the lock side i take it they must be for the central locking as electric windows are fine and the other end of door.
also i have plugs behind the glove box area that are also not connected and i just dont know where to start.
does anyone local to rugby near coventry and nuneaton realy know what they are doing ide love some help.
i cant aford to give it a garage and get ripped off its just not an option as ive totally spent out aquiring the car.
please someone help me.cheers Gaz
