Well erm it's a Saxo! Vee Tea Are, don't need to describe it, you know what they are :fcuk: its a Saxo owners club! :geek: Some pictures from when I bought it end of last year...

I must say after saying for years that I disliked Saxo's, I'm enjoying it. When I took it out for a test drive I could see the appeal to them straight off, fun to drive! Although my partner thinks I've gone mad buying it and thinks I'm going to buy the car I hate the most, a Corsa!

Well as the whether changed and went cold over winter well it has began running like a bag of spanners, so I changed the leads and Plugs. When I removed the leads they where very hard and brittle with french writting on!! Maybe standard from factory me thinks!! When I got to number three cylinder I found the lead was actually broken off onto the plug! That can't help!!

Well being French the plugs are in a stupid place on the head!! so after a lot of cursing and a seven mile trip, I finally go them out!! here is a pic.........I spy something is wrong here.........

http://i54.photobucket.com/albums/g83/MNW_PHC/saxo/saxo004hb.jpg

With the new plugs in and new Bosch leads on it ran like a dream!!

The next job was a new dipstick as the old one was knackered around the top of the tube so it was persisting oil out all over the place!! I then replaced the exhaust manifold gasket and repaired the downpipe and cat, as they where blowing like a bunch of hookers!!

I then turned my attention to the lack of braking from the rear, well metal to metal never really stops you that well, yup I needed new pads! Got them bought and fitted and stopped on a five pence piece!!

But there is much to do on this little project to get it running right and looking good....

Head Gasket Set - Valve stem seals have gone.
New center section - the joint has been damaged, so it no longer sits correctly and keeps blowing
Replacement Drivers Door and Wing - as you can see from the Pic, they have some lovely dints, previous owner.
Bodykit - Need to replace some of the clips!!
A good detailing session!
New arial!

Well my main thing is to tidy the car up. I would like a 3" back box, replace the tired Pipercross air filter with a raceland, Strutbrace etc. Nothing much really. I'm currently making my own polished covers for the engine bay and have been working on an ICE install, which has currently cost me nothing.

What I'm going for is "OEM Plus", pretty much standard with personal touches here and there.

After having my Rockford Fosgate amp lying around for a number of years! and my old school 12" Kicker impulse sub sitting there gathering dust I really wanted to build a boot install again!! After finally gathering all the parts I needed to build one, I started it a couple of weeks ago, doing a little bit at a time.

The build started with an old twin sub box I had, which I cut in half after selling half my ICE. I previously had two of the same amp and sub. I then made a false floor for the amp to sit in, which will have a removable panel to protect it when I'm not showing it off! Finally have got round to covering it, I decided to not use carpet but Leatherette which I aquired from a friend for free!! After a look of cutting, sanding, cursing and many cups of coffee, here is where I got up to over today......

I'm on with sorting the door and wing out, I've had some fantastic prices on here from member for the parts just need to go get them really. As for the stickers, I'm waiting til the weather gets warmer, cause they won't come off they are seriouly stuck on!! Hot day plus another heat source, they won't have any option but to come off!! :fcuk:

Smart boot install mate. I would prefer the top of the sub box to be in black material but other then that its great in my opinion.

Cheers, I was going to do the top of the box blue, but a mate had some cream leatherette so I nicked some of that, the pictures don't show it off that well, just looks like wood or cardboard my partner insists!

Thanks for the comments.

Gave it a good clean today, omg the paint work was like sand paper!! What I did was.........

1) Gave it good bath in some Megs Shampoo,
2) Going over with Megs Quik Clay, twice!! (could do with another going over not 100% happy with it)
3) Bath in Auto-Glym intense tar remover! Yes there was more tar on the entire car than the road I live on!
4) Quick Polish with Megs Crystal polish,
5) Waxed with Megs Top Class,
6) Windows polished on the outside with Auto-Glym Window polish,
7) All showing plastics bathed in Auto-Glym Bumper care!!

and it turned out like.........

I'm really happy with the out come, looks far better in the flesh. I'm hoping that at the end of May I will have a DA polisher, then I will go to town on the Paxo!!
