whats involved engine swap

im looking at changing my 113k engine and want to know my options , all the engines i look at of my year all over 90k which is ok but i covered 1 miles in a week lol , so im looking at around 60 to 70 k , but all these engines come from s reg upwards and upto the mk2 , so whats the crack with swapping mk1 to mk2 i cant seem to find guides or anything so im on the hope somebody has been where i am now , ta guys rep will be given

i think yours is a 1 plug ecu mate so if you are doing an engine swap with another vtr you need a 1 plug ecu

is yours a black top or silver top

i know but i been round in circles with it and seen so many different answers and just dont wanna come stuck , its a black top

you dont want to be swapping between MK! and MK2 its a big fath lol, the MK1 has a 1 plug loom and mk2 has a 3 plug loom

yea just struggling to find a vtr with same year but good engine ,
