Just failed my MOT

Nearside rear trailing arm has excessive play in a pin/bearing

Repair or do i have to replace the whole axle?

first job i got done was the offside trailing arm which had slight play but as the other side is now excessive is it not screwed?

Basically im trying my hardest to avoid a £300 notes plus bill to refurb my axle.

if you are handy with tools buy a 2nd hand axle and fit it yourself. you can pick them up for around £100.

its easier to change the axle but if you deside to change the bush its adviseable to have oxyasetaline torch etc as there usually well rusted on i do them at work but always use heat to get em off the bearings are like £30

If the bearings have gone, has the tube become pitted to the collapsed bearings?
