keypad immobiliser

I unplugged my keypad immobiliser, but thinking of putting it back in now. If i do will it reset the code to a factory setting or keep the code i had before?
If it's a factory code will it be random? will citroen be able to find it for me? or will it just be a simple default code like 0000 or something?

Wouldnt have thought it would reset, surely the code will be held in the ecu/immobiliser box

it will be the code before you unplugged it.
