Scoring on cam - bad news???

So today I thought would be a good day to spray my knackered old looking rocker covers and inside my head I found this:

It's like that on the front cam but not on the rear one!

Am I up the creek? What's wrong? What do I need to rectify the problem, considering new cams will be going in in the next month or so?

Isn't that just normal wear? Will be worth putting in new followers with your cams so they don't wear quickly with old followers.

Looks like general wear to me, seen loads of cams with slight markings like that.

Dunno, never noticed them before when I've had the covers off
