Basically i own a 1.4 Furio and fancy lowering it, but have no clue about anything. When i say anything i mean anything :P. So anyway i was wondering whether any of you can help teach me a few things, for example what i need and how you do it, the best expensive ways and the cheapest ways. The only thing i know is that the back is torsion bar so it has to be lowered seperately a different way. Thanks for your time anyway and oh also what are the risks and advantages.

This question gets asked alot...

Drop Height Wise:
0-40mm is for Handling but also looks
50mm you can get away with looks and improved handling
50mm+ is purely looks

If you are budgeting you can buy a pair of lowering springs for the front and lower the torsion bar to match. Garages charge around £100 to lower your car. If you choose to do this route, i advise only lowering upto 40mm, as any lower you will need to uprate the front and rear shocks also

Not so tight budget- Buy a lowering kit - includes front springs and shocks and rear shocks. - advised route to take

kam racing have good deal on Apex Lowering kits atm

Hope this helps dude

Take this with a pinch of salt to be honest, it depends on alot of factors.

If the above was correct then billie group n dampers with 45mm faulkners springs would be just for looks

and yet a car lowered 40mm just on some basic springs would be the dogs danglies??

The better way to go about it is to work out your budget and get advise for the best quality kit that you can buy for your money

you dont need adjustable coilovers

just get uprated dampers and springs if your not that confident about the mechanicals then get some quotes from a garage or even ask willsy how much they charge if your not far away they have many good reviews from people on here

the front suspension is springs and dampers, the rear is torsion bar and dampers. The torsion is a bastard so try and ask around to see where you can get it done first.

techinally all you need to get is new front springs and adjust the torsion bar to match, that will lower your saxo. But you should probably get some uprated dampers cus the handling will be shite with the standard one.

I went 40mm but found on a furio is doesnt seem as low as a vtr 40mm so if you want a 40mm get a 50mm kit get lol. I bought a spax kit but this is what id get now if i had so do it again. cheap and half decent..
