please help door problem

hi folks i have a problem with my door and its doing my head in its been took to citroen and they said that it cant be fixed.

the problem is:

when i lock the car door i have to keep opening it and cloasing it about 12 max for it to lock sometimes it will look in one shot others 3 4 5 times but its been like this from its been bought.


can someone maybe help or have a solution for this please thanks alot.

sorry to go off-topic (hijack) do saxo doors, have like a locking hinge which keeps them open when extended to a certain range? if so mine is very stiff how can i solve this?

use some wd40 mate

could be the lock mechanism is knackered.get one from a scrapy,means you have a key to open the door and one to start the car though.
or maybe the door itself just needs adjusting.
maybe get another citroen garage to look into it,as i wasnt too impressed with the service at my nearest citroen dealer !

not too sure there are thousands of key codes,im sure citroen will charge you big bucks though !

dont fancy using three keys one for the drivers door one for the ignition then another to open petrol cap lol

petrol cap will be same as ignition,just another key for drivers door.

You wont have to change the key maybe. Do you mean the door is not shutting fully when you try to close it? like is it half open but still on the latch? of so its just a new latch which isnt part of the key hole.

its not the door. when i lock the car even tho the lock goes down i can still open the door.

Sounds like your lock servo is broken. Can be picked up for peanuts from the scrapper and you keep your own key
