battery light!!!!

my battery light keeps coming on :wall:
manily when i go above 40mph i tried tightening
the wires but it still comes on... anyone know what the problem could be

Low battery or bad battery? faulty wiring? my alternator recharging wire snapped once and caused somthing like this, untill the battery ran dry then my car did nothing. (But it stopped lighting up lol)
