Firstly i'd like to say hello to everyone as im new to the forum and i hope everyone is well.
My problem is this, i recently bought a citeron saxo 1.4 sx r reg automatic
the car has been fine until today, i drove it some 190 miles last night which was all well and good.
This morning i got into the car started it, tried driving it and realised the car had no acceleration, foot pedal pressed firmly to the floor, it was giving me an output of around 10,000 rpm, left it on for a few minutes while i thought about what could be wrong, first assumption being that it was the gearbox, tried to drive the car some minutes later and the transmission was working fine and still is
Now my question is this, Do i have to warm the saxo up first before using it or does it sound like the gearbox is on its way out?
Any help would be greatly appreaciated
