Hey Guys,

Decided with a few products I purchased yesterday to give the car a little treat this morning and afternoon. I hadn't planned to do the whole car with the PC as there was a few areas where I wanted to target - mainly the bonnet and one of the rear quarter panels - thanks to more kids who decided to try and key the car - but they didn't suceed this time.

The car wasn't that dirty to start with as it only had a wash last weekend, but I wanted to get on top of it and feel somewhat better about the paintwork. I worked a couple of hours on it this morning and about 4 hours this afternoon - I'm quite shattered now :A:

Steps & Procedures.

- Rinsed the car down with ValetPRO PH Neutral Snow Foam
- Left to soak for 5 - 10 minutes then rinsed off.
- Filled 2 buckets - one with Carlack 68 Shampoo and other with water.
- Used 2 Wash Mitts - one for top half and one for bottom half of car.
- Soaked the Wheels in Bilberry Wheel Cleaner, left to soak and rinsed off.
- Washed wheels.
- Washed car
- Rinsed off.
- Windows I used a blade (Don't moan, they are fine for windows lol).
- Rest of the car Sonus Der Wunder Drying Towel
- I then moved the car to front of the garage.
- Clayed all the panels down to remove any crap.
- Polished the bonnet using Menzerna Intensive Polish
- Then used Menzerna Final Finish Polish
- Polished rear quarter to remove scratches, again same as above.
- I then used Chemical Guys Wet Mirror Finish on all the cars.
- Cleaned windows.
- Megs Tyre Shine
- Vacuumed Inside and used Carlack 68 Plastic Cleaner Inside.

Job done.

Here are the pictures....

Found them quite good to be honest, really worked on the rear quarter. It's just getting the polish upto temperature, then applying the right pressure and I'm happy with it.

You missed abit :P

Eventually I'll get it sorted, but with it been on passenger side it doesn't bother me too much.

It's a trade catalogue and application to become a stockist.

Nice one Luke :y: How long does the stuff last for, I saw the price in your other thread!

Wish I had the time and money to do the same. After Thursday's rain, mine needs doing again, being looking OK last few weeks.

Oh and your driveway needs weeding :y:

Yeah i remember that Craig wet sanded his bonnet with the help of some guy off DW. Surely the panels all need respraying so what harm can it do??

Sorry I meant the 'cleaning products'. It was just as a rough guide, two or three washes, or lke six months etc? I need to wax and polish mine but Im scared of messing it up

How long it lasts.

I do mine every two weeks unless it gets too dirty.

Luke
18th April 2009, 13:46
Depends really...I usually leave it 2 weeks before washign too aswell - especially in this weather or winter it can vary depending how bad the roads are.

Nothing wrong with washing it every couple of days either really.
