i have £300 to spend on dampers and springs.
what best for that sort of price. at the same time i am also treating the car to uprated bushes and new tyres falken 912's and a set of omp braces.
i have been told koni specials are good but im unsure of the koni spring rating as i want it to be a nice road car i dont want anything to hard just a little sportier.
i may do a hillclimb or 2.
also i dont want to go any lower than 25mm.
cheers guys.

I would say go lower, cors itsw up to you but when i did mine i did 40mm and after short time wished i had gone bit lower 50-60mm as bumps r never problem and always have loads of clearance.
Most brands seem to give the same guarntees when it comes to ride, quality and performance etc. is 300.00 inc fittin? cause back most £££
Coilovers and just better dampers for back.

fit it myself mate, beauty of havin a garage in the family.
i dont want to go any lower been in a friends car which is that low and its horrid knock the crap out of the shell.
decent coilovers will set me back much more than £300 but will also make it too harsh with the wrong springs fitted. so there out.
any more suggestions.

The koni kit is good for that money and i think it's adjustable.
I think you would regret it if you only went -25mm, go to around -40mm it were me not wanting a massive drop. Looks nice and low, but not too low, not slammed, not decked just like a "smooth" low.

Koni's are very good (had them on my car and theyve done the job very well) the springs with the adjustables are for a 35mm drop- the adjustability is of course just with the dampers.
Mine will be for sale soon as im upgrading to coilovers

Dont believe what everyone is saying about going down more, im down 40mm atm but im going back up in 2weeks to only -25. As i want the better handling and my suspension is a bit stiff to be any lower. I got custom flakners and pugsport gravel dampers but i think that is out of your price range atm.

so you would buy them again then willsy?
as said i dont fancy any lower than -25 mm will the springs settle and lower more? if so i might look at getting some made.
will faulkner make a custom set? i rember alexR saying he could get them for about £100 a set iirc
