You won't get day insurance. You're best bet is to take out a years insurance. Pay the deposit. Pick the car up, bring car home. And then cancel the policy before the cooling off period ends (usually 14 days). You will recieve most of your deposit back minus a small fee for the time you were covered.

I did it when I picked up my VTS. They charged me £28.50 and I was covered for more than a week before I cancelled it.

your an idiot then arent you, what happens if you were to crash and kill someone whilst being uninsured on that car. and there were wittnesses at the scene of the accident.

hope you dont mind gettin shafted in the prison showers.

and... i wouldnt boast about driving uninsured on an internet forum, people get found and use your posts as evidence.

just to let you know. :wall:

ring up your insurance company, tell them you wish to change reg plates... if of equal size, or less...they will charge you about 28 quid for admin fee... then you will be insured on the other car... when you want to go back to the first car after the day or two, ring them up and say thanks, i wish to go back to driving this car now... they may charge you again a nother 28 quid.... but that way you will be honest, insured and safe ...

ive done it
plenty of people do it
its perfectly a-ok.
